Seasonal Jams and Jellies
Jams and Jellies are all made in small handcrafted batches by Jonathan Collinson, according to seasonal availability of local fruits.
  • American Plum Jam: These were the first fruit trees I planted in my orchard twenty years ago. They produce small orange plums that are the real American Plum.
  • Autumn Berry Jam: Sometimes known as Autumn Olive in New England, but in the fall they have bright red berries which weight for weight contain 18 times the antioxidant, Lycopene, than tomatoes.
  • Black Currant Jam: From current bushes grown organically in my garden.
  • Black Raspberry Jelly: Grown organically in my garden berry patch.
  • Blackberry Jam: From an Aroostock variety of Blackberries grown organically in my garden berry patch.
  • Concord Grape Jelly: We have both the old and the improved Concord varieties growing on our barn and grape arbor.
  • Crab Apple Jelly: Red or orange from Siberian or Caucasian Crab Apples grown locally.
  • Elderflower Jelly: The elderflower grow locally, we harvest the flowers, but leave some behind to mature into berries.
  • Elderberry Jelly: Grows locally, we harvest the berries in late summer that are the matured flowers left being in the earlier part of the summer.
  • Gooseberry Jam: A traditional European fruit. If you look carefully, you can find the wild American variety growing in Maine.
  • Nebbiolo Grape Jelly: Made from the Italian wine grape variety grown organically in my garden.
  • Peach Jam: Fruit from the organic peach trees I grow myself in our backyard. Who says you can’t grow healthy, productive fruit trees in Maine?
  • Plum Jam: The 2014 batch of plum Jam is made from a Japanese variety of plums.
  • Raspberry Jam: made from organic red raspberries that we grow.
  • Red Currant Jam: We also make a jelly, but this has the fruit in it, which adds a unique tart flavor.
  • Rhubarb Ginger Jam: My addition to the jam Encyclopedia. This has quickly become a customer favorite.
  • Rose Hip Jelly: A traditional European recipe. Rose Hips are high Vitamin C.
  • White Grape Jelly: Made from white grapes grown locally. The flavor is mild and sweet.
  • Wild Grape Jelly: This jelly is made from a local variety of grapes called Fox Grapes.
